[HG66] (line 31) puppy water- women used puppy urine in order to apply their makeup [HG67] (line 53) coif- a tightly fitting hat for women [HG68] (lines 75-78) These lines are saying that the workman did a good job trying to hide Celia's mess with a chest, but he was able to see through this "disguise" and revealed the mess is really was. [HG69] (lines 88-89) Montegu is basically saying that Swift's judgement of women comes from the fact that he can't have sex any better than he can write poetry. He sucks in bed so he is now taking it out on women. |
